About This Site

Why Check The Map was created:

It's time for parents, teachers and anyone working in Special Educational Needs to stop having to go all around the houses to find simple, local information - across all sectors. This site has been set up to make it easy for everyone to find out what services there are for people with Learning Disabilities/Difficulties (LD) in their local area, or any area, just by clicking the map or typing in a postcode.

Importantly, this gives smaller organisations and individuals the opportunity to promote their valuable services alongside the better known charities and companies. From job opportunities for adults with LD to after school groups, speech therapy to opticians, if it's a Learning Disability friendly service, it'll be advertised here.

This site is for EVERYONE. Whether you represent a school, day centre, private practice, leisure service, NHS clinic, therapy group... anything and everything. The more services that are added, the more useful this site will become. Please tell people about your Learning Disability service or resource by clicking the 'ADD' button. Thank you for visiting!
